Find your people, passion, and purpose at Elevated Purpose Learning Community
At Elevated Purpose Learning Community, our mission is to cultivate a culturally relevant and joyful learning environment where students feel supported, curious, and empowered.
We strive to guide learners to become resilient, kind, and creative young people with the capacity to lead, think critically, and collaborate.
Our microschool serves students in grades K-8 through mutigrade classes (K-2 , 3-5, and 6-8) focusing on academics, leadership, and creativity to foster a community where every student can thrive.
We believe that learning should be joyful, personalized, and culturally relevant, and through play-, project-, and mastery-based learning, we empower each learner to take ownership of their education.
At the end of their journey, we hope our students will reflect on their time at Elevated Purpose Learning Community as a pivotal chapter in their growth and self-discovery, equipped with the skills and confidence to pursue their passions and contribute meaningfully to our world.
Math and Literacy Mastery
Students at Elevated Purpose Learning Community engage in learning activities that hone foundational skills in math and literacy. Our students learn at their own pace and in ways that suit their needs. Math mastery refers to a deep, lasting understanding of mathematical concepts, rather than just the ability to memorize and perform procedures. It means students truly grasp the "why" and "how" behind the math, so they can confidently apply their knowledge in different contexts. Literacy mastery means that a student has developed the ability to understand, use, analyze, and communicate effectively through reading, writing, speaking, and listening. It's more than just being able to read or write words—it's about deeply understanding and using language to learn, think, and express ideas.
Play-based learning and Project-based learning
Play-based learning uses games, role-play, and interactive activities to make complex subjects more engaging and relatable for students. It makes abstract concepts more tangible. Project-based learning turns students into curious problem-solvers and budding creators. It’s all about learning by doing—rooted in inquiry-led, real world relevance and active exploration.
Culturally Relevant Curriculum
A culturally relevant curriculum is one that recognizes, respects, and reflects the diverse cultural backgrounds, experiences, and identities of students. It connects what students learn in school to their real lives, communities, and histories, helping them see themselves and others in the content.
“Families are invited to be active participants in their children’s education, strengthening the connection between home and school and enhancing the overall learning experience.”
— Lauren Wood, Owner and Founding Director
